The Water Horse....

We rented a great family movie last night. Nolan was entranced with the whole movie and Braydon was for the first 30 minutes. It was a little old for a two year old, but for Nolan it was perfect. He will be four in August. This movie made us laugh, cry, and made us believe in magical creatures.

The special effects were great. I really felt something for this monster. It was almost like a puppy when it first hatched...always into mischief.

The scenery was breath-taking. It was filmed in New Zealand and of course Scotland. Nolan was still excited about the movie this morning and wanted to wear his dinosaur shirt. (I guess they are similiar). There is another disc that came with the movie that he wants to watch tonight. It talks about the making of it and all that other interesting stuff!

Backyardigan Birthday Party!

My youngest had a fun party with close friends and family. Oh...and his little girlfriend Suzi was there too! Her parents are Jenny and Jordan. He loves The Backyardigans! (They don't get on Mommy's nerves either). We grilled hotdogs and hamburgers and had fruit and chips. For dessert...we had cake and icecream of course!

Here are a few pictures from that fun-filled day!

Today....you turned two!

Happy Birthday little pumpkin! I love your big smiles you pass around. I love the way you wrap your arms around my legs and squeeze as hard as you can. I love the way you giggle so hard, you actually snort. I love those blue eyes of yours...they truly are the window to your soul. I love the little man you are becoming with such good manners. I love how you are a bit bashful and blush pink. I love how you get so excited over the little things...like seeing a cow or playing with a deflated balloon.

You have changed a lot in the past two years, but you always had a smile on your face. Sometimes you smiled with your cute little mouth and sometimes with your beautiful eyes.

Your brother loves you too! He really never showed that jealous streak everyone warned us about. We told him that soon you would be old enough to play with him.

YOU ARE OUR WORLD...YOU ARE OUR EVERYTHING...

Love,
Daddy & Mommy & Nolan

Thursday Thirteen- 13 things that has made me laugh this past week!

1. Nolan telling his cars, tractors, trains, and whatever else that they need to go into time out because they said "ring-a-round the poopy."

2. The AT&T company spray painting our yard with orange and putting up orange flags. (They should of done it a few houses down the road...LIKE ON THE HOUSE BEING BUILT!)

3. Braydon wrapping his little arms around me and giving me a huge hug.

4. Fish lips. I can show you, but can't explain it!

5. My husband.

6. Learning to crochet. My fingers do not want to work!

7. Blog that Mommy

8. Burping...I burped and my 3 1/2 year old told me I needed to say "excuse me!" I have been trying to teach him manners, but apparently he is teaching me!

9. The Singing Patient website Especially "The Colon" and "Prednisone."

10. My scale. It is a habitual liar.

11. Mariah Carey hoochie mama dresses. She wears these ALL the time. There is a place and time Ms. Carey! (although if I looked like her, I'd probably wear them all the time too.) ;)

12. My husband putting on Star Wars because the kids were playing with light sabers from the circus we went to. My 3 1/2 year old would NOT go to bed until the movie was over and wanted to watch it again. Definitely has my hubby's genes!

13. My short term memory....It is gone. Getting old sucks!

What joy an old balloon can bring!

Who would of thought an expired valentine's day balloon would bring a gallon of giggles? My boys thought it would be fun to keep the balloon from falling onto the floor...I had to join in the fun too. I am a big kid and love balloons just as well as any 3 year old!

Reaching high in the air....stretch those arms!

Watching it slowly come down from the ceiling...

"I got it," Braydon exclaimed!

Nolan explaining to Braydon on how to keep the balloon up!

Braydon is getting the hang of it...

After all that running around it is time for some H20!

And time for a little snack...

Ode to the Pappy...(Pacifier)

Oh...Pappy,Pappy, how I love you,
Too bad I will soon be the age of two,
You give me comfort when I cry,
It will be hard when the time comes to say goodbye.

Mommy and Daddy have set new rules,
that I can only use you when I snooze,
I guess it is time to start growing up,
Afterall, I do like to use my sippy cup.

Just remember my dear pappy,
you once made me very happy,
So, as I begin my journey in saying adieu...
I look forward to all things exciting and new!

Love,
Braydon

Fortune Cookie Says....

"I went poop in the potty," Nolan stated at our dinner this past Sunday at our favorite Chinese restaurant. My hubby read what his fortune really said...

"There are plenty of promises & hope floating around you."

I found this to be HILARIOUS . You gotta love fortune cookies!

He went earlier in the potty and was very excited about it. Needless to say we were excited too!
